Swing By Peerless Automotive if Your Suspension Is Doing Any of the Following

Your vehicle’s suspension needs to be in the best shape possible for you to have maximum control of your automobile. Peerless Automotive can service and repair your suspension when it needs it. If your automobile is doing any of the following things, swing by our shop or give us a call right away. These are signs that your suspension is going bad.

Diving or Squatting

Your vehicle should not dive, squat, or roll when you brake, accelerate, or turn, respectively. If it is doing this, this is a sign that the struts and shocks need to be replaced because they have worn out and are no longer able to control your automobile’s momentum motion.

Feeling Every Bump

You may also feel every bump in the road if the struts and shocks are worn. These are these suspension parts that are manufactured and installed to absorb the uneven pavement over which you drive. Feeling every bump in the road and constant bouncing after going over a bump is a sign that it’s time to replace the struts and shocks. Doing so will restore your vehicle’s comfort.

Not Steering Properly

You may also start to have problems steering your automobile if there is a problem with the suspension. This is because the steering system is included in your vehicle’s suspension. Steering problems include moaning or groaning when you turn the steering wheel, a vehicle that does not respond to the steering wheel, difficulty turning the steering wheel, or leaking power steering fluid.

Pulling to One Side

Another sign that your suspension needs work is pulling to one side. Your vehicle will veer from going straight if the wheels are not aligned properly. If you are constantly having to correct your steering, head straight to our shop so we can realign the wheels. Your suspension is designed for the wheels to go straight unless you turn them. Misaligned wheels make controlling your automobile difficult.

Sitting Low on a Wheel

Finally, if you notice that your car, truck, or utility vehicle is sitting lower on one wheel than all of the others, we need to replace the suspension spring on that wheel because it has broken. Aside from the low-seated corner, you will also hear a clunking noise coming from that wheel when you drive over bumps.

Call Peerless Automotive in Olathe, KS, today for a suspension inspection appointment. We will inspect the suspension and repair it.
