Don’t Risk Buying a Lemon

You do not want to risk buying a lemon if you’re in the market for a used car. Yes, dealers certify the used cars on their lots, but this does not mean that the vehicle will not come without trouble. As an added layer of protection, let us inspect the used car before you buy it. This gives us a chance to check for the following problems so you can avoid them.

Check for Accidents

Our pre-purchase inspection allows us to check the automobile to see if it has been in an unreported accident. The vehicle’s body, paint, and undercarriage can reveal that the automobile was damaged in an accident and repair. We may even be able to determine the extent of the damage, which is useful information to have if you are considering purchasing the car.

Check for Fire Damage

We will also check for fire damage or evidence of an overloaded electrical system. We will also inspect the fuel system to make sure it is not leaking and posing a fire threat. All of these things are crucial because the risk of fire makes driving the automobile dangerous. If the vehicle has fire damage, we strongly recommend that you look for a different car.

Check for Flood Damage

The same is true with flood damage. Whether the automobile was in an accident, has fire damage, or was in a flood, the repairs can only do so much. There are residual side effects to all of these occurrences that can make the automobile a lemon.

Inspect the Vehicle

While we are checking for previous damage, we will also inspect the vehicle thoroughly and run a series of tests to make sure everything is operating a-okay. It is important to make certain that all of the systems are operating as they should be. For example, you do not want to purchase the used car if it needs a new brake system. It is also important to test the power accessories.

Run a Diagnostic Check

Finally, in addition to visibly inspecting the vehicle to catch hidden damage, we will also run a diagnostic test to look for hidden problems. This test will download the data that is collected by the engine control unit, which is the vehicle’s main computer chip. If any system sensors have reported problems, that information will be included in the data.
